The national phase took place on September 3-8, 2019, in Bran, where CERT-RO, ANSSI and the Cyberint National Center organized the second training and selection stage of the team that represented Romania. In addition to the organizers, Orange, BIT SENTINEL and certSIGN, partners of ECSC 2019, held training and testing sessions.

In 2017, the Romanian team took second place at the edition held in Malaga in Spain. Spain placed first, and Italy completed the podium.
