The Galaxy Note 8 will get Android Pie faster than the Galaxy S8

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will receive an update to Android 9 Pie in February, while the S8 series will receive the same a month later. At least that’s what the information described in the Samsung Members app shows.

This is quite an unusual situation. Typically, the S-series received updates faster. However, it should be remembered that this only applies to Turkey and not the whole world. It is for this country that information regarding the update to Android 9 Pie was released. So it is possible that the update will look completely different globally.

In the meantime, Android Pie Beta tests for the Galaxy Note 9 are underway. This smartphone should receive an update this month. Meanwhile, the S9 models already received the new system at the end of December 2018. Samsung introduces the new system quite slowly and late, so it’s no wonder that many people are waiting for it impatiently.
