MOSCOW, Sep 27 – PRIME. The Ministry of Digital Transformation of the Russian Federation sent a request to Apple Inc about the reasons for deleting VK applications and developer accounts from the App Store, RIA Novosti was told in the department.

On Monday, many VK applications, including VK Play, VK Music, VK Clips and VK Messenger, VK Play and VK Admin, as well as Mail․ru Mail and Mail.ru Cloud, stopped appear when you search the App Store. VK confirmed the removal of several applications from the marketplace, but noted that all previously installed services continue to work as usual.
“The Ministry of Digital Transformation sent a request to Apple Inc about the reasons for deleting VK applications and developer accounts, paying special attention to the social significance and scale of use of the Russian company’s services. After receiving an official response, an action plan will be developed,” the message says.
