The Russian Energy Agency predicts an increase in gas exports

MOSCOW, 26 Sep — PRIME. The target scenario of the Russian Energy Agency (REA) for the development of the situation with gas supplies abroad suggests that by 2030 the total volume of exports of “blue fuel” from Russia will increase by 5.6% – up to 265 billion cubic meters. And according to the negative scenario, the volume of deliveries abroad may be reduced to 167 billion cubic meters, Vedomosti writes.

In 2021, Russia exported 251 billion cubic meters of gas, of which 210 billion were delivered through pipelines and 41 billion cubic meters. m (29.7 million tons) – for liquefied natural gas (LNG), follows from the REA data. The presentation provides two scenarios for the development of the situation with gas exports.

At the same time, the publication notes that both REA scenarios involve a reduction in pipeline gas supplies. The target scenario provides for a decrease by 26.2%, in the negative – twice.

According to the target scenario, pipeline gas exports to Europe, including Turkey, will decrease by 78% by 2030, to 36 billion against 165 billion cubic meters last year. At the same time, according to the target scenario, supplies of about 78 billion cubic meters of pipeline gas will be redirected from Europe to Asia.
