Trading cryptocurrencies directly in your browser with the Binance Widget

Brave has announced a partnership with the Binance exchange, which allows trading of cryptocurrencies directly in the browser.

The functionality is available through a Binance widget, which allows direct access to the Binance.com and Binance.US sites (for US users). Users can buy and sell crypto assets, view balances and generate warehouse addresses without leaving the browser.

Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Ripple, Litecoin and many others supported by Binance will be able to trade.

The Binance widget is embedded in Brave and is not a loaded iframe (remote embedded document). It maintains user confidentiality, and the API will be functional only if the user authenticates through OAuth and interacts with the widget.

“Trading cryptocurrencies can be a daunting task for users who are not familiar with such assets, so integrating Binance into the Brave browser makes the process seamless and seamless,”

said Brendan Eich, CEO and co-founder of Brave.

“Integrating a major exchange like Binance directly into the Brave browser brings cryptocurrency transactions into the mainstream and allows users to easily transact.”

In turn, Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao said:

“The Binance widget in the Brave privacy-oriented browser creates a safer way to buy and sell cryptocurrencies. It also reduces the difficulty of registering new users and facilitates interaction with the Binance ecosystem ”.

A version of this new feature is available in the Nightly test version of the Brave desktop browser. The widget will become available to the general public in April. The new Binance widget page will be enabled by default, but users can disable it and hide from settings. The mobile version will be announced at a later date.
