WASHINGTON, Sep 21 – PRIME Gasoline prices in the US have reversed a long 99-day decline and are back on the rise, according to statistics from the American Automobile Association (AAA) released on Wednesday.
According to the association, the average price of fuel at gas stations in the country reached $3.681 per gallon as of Wednesday, compared with Tuesday’s level of $3.674 per gallon.
Despite a prolonged decline, US gasoline prices remain nearly half a dollar above their year-earlier levels. A year ago, the average fuel price was $3.192 per gallon. The all-time high of $5,016 was reached on June 14th.
On Tuesday, US President Joe Biden announced that gasoline prices in the country have returned to early March levels.
