A few days ago, Lviv, close to the Polish border, fell victim to Russian rocket fire. This city, seemingly distant from the conflict, only seems to “live in peace”, because in fact all its resources useful at the front are directed there. Ukrainian welders arming defenders and volunteers to fight for independence are a great example of this.
In a welding workshop in Lviv, workers added steel plates to a donated pickup truck so that a volunteer could ride it to the front. During a recent rocket fire, one of the welders was retrofitting a donated pickup truck.
He wanted to finish work before sunset on Saturday and during it he heard a noise, looked up and saw an object flying in the air. It was a Russian rocket that a moment later caused a massive explosion in a factory linked to the military.

The stunned welder quickly made his way to the makeshift bunker in the garage, and when the “battle dust” cleared, he returned home. After returning to work, he completed the work on the truck, even providing it with a camouflage painting, which on Monday was handed over to the soldiers along with three other, mainly consumer vehicles. Now the welders are hoping that they will start to “retrofit” vehicles that are going to the front more often in this way.
