We know the specification of a Tesla computer with AMD hardware. There is Ryzen and RDNA2

Thanks to the Ingineerix YouTube channel, we can get a glimpse of what the new computer in Tesla Models looks like six months after its announcement. This is the first time we can take a look at the Tesla computer specification and confirm it in practice.

We got to know the specification of the Tesla computer, which until now was shrouded in mystery

Let’s start with the fact that the central processor is a non-standard Ryzen chip based not on the Zen 2 architecture, but the Zen 1+ with the code number YE180FC3T4MFG. Apparently, it is a quad-core APU with a TDP of 45 W with access to 0.5 MB of L2 memory and 4 MB of level three (L3) cache in the manner of the Picasso family.

The computer has both an integrated and a dedicated Navi 23 graphics core. This model is probably equipped with 28 compute units, not 32 as previously thought, which translates to 1792 stream processors clocked at around 2.8 GHz, which we can calculate for based on the words of Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla, according to which this GPU offers performance similar to consoles at the level of 10 TFLOPS.
