WhatsApp has been working on message responses for a while now. After all, because most of the popular messengers have been offering this functionality for a long time. It also seems that, just like on Messenger, we won’t have to limit ourselves to a few emojis.
WhatsApp is still working on this, although some users may use it as part of testing. This feature appears and disappears from the beta version of the application, but as reported by WABetaInfo, it has recently reappeared in version 2.22.9.4. This time, however, users got not only a few selected emojis with which they can react to messages. There is also an option to choose from other emoticons, just like we can do on Messenger. To make a selection, just click the plus icon that appears next to the standard emoji in the reaction.
For now, it seems that the tests are very limited and apply to a small group of users. However, if you want to check if it applies to you – download the latest beta version of WhatsApp and see for yourself. Other users of the application must be patient, because it is not known when the function will go to the stable version of the application.
