Why will I never use a parcel locker again

Usually I am not annoyed by couriers. I understand that there is a human factor here and sometimes someone will come later or a day later – I have no problems with that. However, what happened with the package sent by parcel machine upset me.

On November 19, the sender sent the parcel by parcel locker, on November 20 it was received at the Wrocław branch of InPost. In the meantime, I received an SMS about redirection to another parcel locker, because the one I chose is overbooked. The parcel locker is a little further away, but okay, I can drive up if the package is delivered quickly. You can see what has been happening since then on the screen below.

It is evident that there is no place in the parcel locker and the package keeps coming back. The two statuses are funny in the reverse order – it indicates a lack of organization in the ward or problems with the system. Usually, InPost puts couriers under parcel lockers (at least that’s always been the case in my case), but this time it did not happen. On November 28, I received another package status:

This is the status of literally 1 minute after handing over for service. What’s better, no SMS or e-mail has reached me. Of course, the first thing I did was call the hotline – an unknown status of the package was reported. Answer after 24 hours – on Friday it will be in the parcel locker. Only nothing of the sort happened. The parcel is still in the branch and has not even gone to the parcel locker. After another phone call, I learn that the only thing a nice lady can do is report a reminder. The comedy is that despite the status that it is possible to pick up the parcel at the branch, I cannot do it. I don’t have a pickup number because the package never got to the parcel locker! Therefore, I have to wait and call regularly every day to ensure that I can collect the package – maybe one day it will go to a parcel locker.

If such a situation takes place a month before Christmas, imagine what will happen in mid-December – the parcels will certainly be delivered with a huge delay. So I recommend that you think twice before ordering something or giving a gift to someone using a parcel locker. Nobody wants to fight for their package or wait for several weeks for it.
