Xiaomi 12 Ultra appears in the pictures. Does this island of cameras really have to be that gigantic?

One of the most anticipated smartphones this year is certainly the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. We have been reading reports about it for months, so we know almost everything about the specifications of this model. Recently, the renders also show the same structure with a huge island of cameras.

While the issues of the appearance of the front panels in smartphones do not excite anyone, it is completely different with the backs. After all, it is there that manufacturers place camera islands, and these, as we well know, can take all shapes and sizes. Recently, especially flagships, they are getting larger and larger modules, although in this respect no one will beat the Xiaomi 12 Ultra for a long time.

The construction of this model has already been revealed to us by leaks. Round camera module with one large sensor and the remaining lenses arranged around it, which will be on a rectangular island, actually taking up a third of the rear panel. On the renderings (shown above) it looked not too bad. It looked because the new photos show what it looks like in reality. On one, we can take a look at the island itself, and on the other – a protective case.

Both of the above photos give us an image of a massive, two-tier island that stands out from the back of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. Of course, we understand that large matrices and more and more lenses need the right amount of space, but with such sizes it will be possible to use this smartphone comfortably at all? Added to this is the issue of uneven weight of the phone, because the top part will be much heavier than the bottom.

Anyway, we are looking forward to the premiere of the Xiaomi 12 Ultra. After the leaks, we expect a lot, and if the photos are real, Xiaomi will have to offer us really killer photographic opportunities so that we stop paying attention to the inconvenience of the weight and construction of this smartphone.
