Zotac Geforce GTX 1650 without power connector can be found in the picture

SweClockers has previously reported that Nvidia’s entry-level models for graphics cards based on the Turing architecture will be called Geforce GTX 1650. Now Videocardz publishes images of a GTX 1650 from Zotac to the web and the image lacks dedicated power connectors for the graphics card.

Zotac’s Geforce GTX 1650 model in the picture is of the form factor Mini ITX and is equipped with three picture connections: HDMI, Displayport and DVI-D. What stands out is that it lacks dedicated power connectors, which indicates that the TU117 circuit and the graphics card stay within the 75 watts that can be fed via the PCI Express 3.0 slot on the motherboard.

The new TU117 graphics circuit, like the TU116 in the GTX 1660 and GTX 1660 Ti, will be based on the Turing architecture, but will lack the Tensor cores for machine learning or RT cores for ray tracing which the RTX 2000 series are equipped with. Previous data speculates that 896 CUDA cores with 4 GB of GDDR5 memory, which is believed to provide performance just below a GTX 1060 with 3 GB of GDDR5.

This means that the Geforce GTX 1650 family follows in the same footsteps as the previous entry-level models in the GTX 1050 series, where both the GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti remained within 75 watts of power consumption and could thus be operated entirely via the PCI Express 3.0 slot.

Nvidia’s launch of the Geforce GTX 1650 is expected to take place on April 22. It is also rumored about a GTX 1650 Ti at a later time.
