Zotac is investing heavily in the Geforce GTX 980 Ti in custom graphics cards

The launch of the new Geforce GTX 980 Ti worsting model is followed by custom graphics cards from Nvidia’s partner manufacturers. As usual, it’s about standing out from the crowd and replacing the reference design with mammoth coolers, lavish circuit boards and inflated clock frequencies.

At the current computer fair Computex 2015, Zotac shows some of the latest creations. First out is the Zotac Geforce GTX 980 Ti AMP! Edition with the lavish Icestorm cooler, which is recognizable from previous models in the series. The radiator is accompanied by tuned clock frequencies: 1,051 and 1,140 MHz at base respective boost.

Next up is the overclock-oriented Zotac Geforce GTX 980 AMP! Omega, which contains a newly developed and significantly more powerful version of the Icestorm cooler. Together with a tailor-made circuit board and extra lavish power supply, the graphics card takes up no less than three slots.

For those who want to get up to really high clock frequencies, the sibling AMP is also released! Extreme Edition. On the outside, the graphics card is very similar to the basic AMP model! Omega, but here a “hand-picked” graphics processor is used that is overclocked to as much as 1,253 and 1,355 MHz – about 25 percent higher clock frequencies than the reference model.

Last but not least, the Zotac Geforce GTX 980 Ti Arcticstorm is added, where the name marks hybrid cooling with the possibility of using both water and air. Anyone can simply stop the fans and connect the integrated copper block to an existing water cooling system.
