Acer Chromebook Spin 514 debuted

Acer has just announced the debut of the new Chromebook Spin 514. Let’s take a closer look at what it has to offer.

AMD Ryzen 5000 C-Series processors based on the AMD “Zen 3” architecture are responsible for the performance. Thanks to this, it will perfectly cope with even demanding work, regardless of whether you want to clean up your finances or use the latest application. Playing in the cloud or watching high-quality movies? AMD Radeon graphics will take care of the smooth image, and the quality – the 14-inch IPS Full HD multi-touch display of the Chromebook. The vivid color palette of 100% sRGB and the very narrow side bezels with a thickness of 6.1 mm (0.24 inch) will provide an additional experience, thanks to which the screen will be better visible. Corning Gorilla Glass, on the other hand, will protect it from scratches and dents.

Due to the fact that nowadays we often use our equipment for work and remote learning, Acer has taken care of solutions that will facilitate this. So we will be able to enjoy high-quality videoconferencing thanks to the Full HD web camera equipped with light reflection reduction. Chromebook Spin 514 is also equipped with high sound quality and a special aperture, which will provide us with privacy after the videoconference.

The military-grade durability of the MIL-STD 810H, combined with the aluminum lids, will give users the protection they need – for work, classes and play. Thanks to 360-degree hinges, we can set the screen the way we want. There are four modes – for presentation viewing, tablet mode for entertainment, clamshell mode for keyboard input, and tent mode for use in small spaces. The battery provides up to 10 hours of productivity in any of the above settings. The Chromebook Spin 514 does not run out of Wi-Fi 6, USB Gen 2 Type-C ports and optional HDMI.

Acer and AMD have also prepared a special version of this laptop for corporate users. The Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 comes equipped with the business features of Chrome OS that provide employees with a modern experience and a fast-acting device with built-in security. In addition, it allows you to reduce the total cost of ownership.

Exact specifications, pricing, and availability vary by region. The Acer Chromebook Spin 514 (CP514-3H) and Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 514 (CP514-3H in the EMEA region will be available in the third quarter of this year with prices starting from EUR 749 and EUR 849 (Enterprise version).
