The manufacturer ADATA, and its gamer division XPG, they have given the big surprise in the present edition of CES 2020. Due to the inclusion, in their catalog of novelties, of some articles that, until now were outside the scope of the brand. Among these new articles, we will find the first gaming monitors, laptops, mini PCs and the first liquid refrigeration AIO type that produces this brand. That, to date, had specialized more in the production of memory-related components. Either RAM or NAND Flash.
Gaming monitors
ADATA has taken its first gaming monitor to CES 2020, the XPG Photon. This monitor is quite particular within the entire market. As standard, its resolution is 4K, with an IPS matrix that is capable of generating a refresh rate of up to 144 Hz. However, by pressing just one button, the user can change the resolution to 1080p, while increasing the rate of refreshment up to 240 Hz. This matrix is capable of covering 95% of the DCI-P3 color spectrum. And it has a size of 27 inches diagonal screen.
As you can see in the previous image, on the back of the monitor there is an element of illumination. Which can probably function as ambient lighting. It is also curious that the brand has chosen to use jaws, instead of the traditional brackets or feet used by the monitors.
Mini PC
The next novelty of the ADATA catalog in this CES 2020, has been the presentation of mini PCs XPG Gaia. These new mini computers will be produced in boxes with an internal volume not exceeding 5 liters. Which indicates that they will be really compact, like Intel's own NUCs.
In fact, one of these new models has similar internal specifications to the ones that the new Intel Ghost Canyon NUC would carry. Even, until the fact of taking all the main components of the PC in a daughter board. To which the graph is connected through a riser card.
The second model of the Gaia series of ADATA XPG is a mini PC more normal. As for that it will use a mini ITX motherboard, and it will be the responsibility of the user, to install in it the rest of the necessary components so that this ADATA mini PC can work. That is, it will be a barebone, in all likelihood.
Gaming laptops
The XPG Xenia It is the first laptop that comes from the hand of this company. Being available with screens 13 and 15.6 inches, intended to be a direct offensive to the heart of other brands within this segment, such as ASUS.
Inside these new laptops, the user can find processors that can reach the Intel Core i7-9750H. Along with two graphics card options: or one NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti, or one RTX 2070 Max-Q. They will also incorporate an NVMe SSD of the SX8200 series. And a mechanical keyboard with RGB lighting for its keys.
Refrigeration
Another surprise that comes to us from XPG is its first AIO, with the name of Lift 360.
This new AIO would use a radiator 360 mm to accommodate the three 120 mm fans you use. Which should not be surprising, until we realized that XPG has decided to use fans of the brand Nidec For those who do not sound like this brand of anything, they are responsible for manufacturing the legendary fans Typhoon from Scythe.
