AMD: don't expect laptops with Ryzen 4000 CPUs and top-of-the-range Nvidia GPUs

The new CPUs Ryzen 4000 Mobile by AMD, as seen in the review of the Asus Zephyrus G14, are really competitive and will surely make the choice of the laptop more difficult than in a past in which Intel has made it the master. In the selection of a laptop, especially if gaming, a fundamental element for coated by GPU. And in this regard it seems that, at least for a while, laptops with Intel CPUs will enjoy an advantage.

During a Twitter discussion Frank Azor, current AMD Chief Architect of Gaming Solutions and co-founder of Alienware explained that currently there are no products with the Ryzen 4000 Mobile chip and GeForce RTX 2070 and above GPUs in the notebook manufacturers' plan.

Azor writes precisely that such combinations they will not arrive for a "fair amount of time", while any "lower option will arrive soon", throwing the ball in the field of OEMs, which would be attributable to the choice not to combine the new chips with the most powerful mobile GPU on the market. "This month and next you will see many more Ryzen laptops available, including some with Radeon GPUs. COVID-19 caused some unexpected delays," added Azor.

These include the new MSI Bravo with RX 5500M, while three and a half months after the announcement there is still no certain information on the Radeon RX 5600M and RX 5700M mobile GPUs. Consequently, it seems that the high end of the laptops will still remain the exclusive terrain of the Intel + Nvidia pair, respectively fresh from the presentation of new Core CPU and SUPER GPU.
