AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT from XFX pictured

The summer of 2019 has offered a lot of news when it comes to graphics cards and from Nvidia’s side, it’s about the Geforce RTX Super series, consisting of three models from the RTX 2000 family but with inflated specifications. With the launch of the duo Radeon RX 5700 and RX 5700 XT, AMD also released new graphics architecture in the form of Navi, manufactured at 7 nanometers.

AMD’s graphics card was released on July 7, but regardless of manufacturer, the cards are only available with the reference coolers at present, where the airflow is controlled by a single radial fan. Models with cooling solutions from partner manufacturers will appear sometime in August, but Asrock was early on the ball and revealed the Challenger model already in mid-July. Now price information and photographs of partner models appear on the web.

Earlier this week, rendered images of an unknown graphics card signed XFX circulated, which were believed to belong to the Radeon RX 5700 series. This is confirmed by the website PConline, which published pictures of the card together with the box, which explains that it is a Radeon RX 5700 XT.

The graphics card is equipped with a solid heat sink made of aluminum, which is accompanied by heat conduction pipes and double axial fans. Unlike the reference cards, the XFX model occupies slightly more than two expansion slots, but the power supply is made unchanged over an 8- and a 6-pin PCI Express connector.

The back cover is adorned with a perforated cover plate with the manufacturer’s name, while the radiator is enclosed by a cover in black plastic. Whether the XFX has increased the clock frequencies can not be read from the image of the box and the images also do not reveal which set of image connections is on the menu.

Price and exact launch date for the XFX card are unknown details. On its Facebook page, however, the manufacturer Powercolor signs that their bottling of the Radeon RX 5700 XT “will be released very soon”. The manufacturer is, however, sparing with pictures of the upcoming graphics cards but writes that these start at the same price level as the reference cards, ie 399 USD, corresponding to about 4,800 kronor including VAT.
