As befits more optimal systems in terms of energy management, the Ryzen 7 2700E will be truncated in terms of its predecessor in terms of clocks. However, the number of physical cores remained unchanged, thanks to SMT technology, the system has 16 threads at its disposal. Due to its 45W TDP value, its base clock has been lowered from 3.2 GHz to 2.8 GHz. Of course, the higher frequencies will be at your fingertips thanks to the auto-overclock algorithms, but its maximum value was not correctly read by the 3DMark database.
However, we do not know if AMD will introduce the Ryzen 7 2700E to mass sale. So far, no system with the note “E” has been debuted, which may indicate the company’s plans. It’s mainly about its availability to ordinary consumers, because it is quite possible that this energy-saving version of Ryzen (along with the Ryzen 5 2600E model) will go only to OEMs. So we are talking about pre-prepared sets, the production of which is dealt with, among others, by Dell or Lenovo. This is even indicated by the (slightly outdated) naming scheme, which does not include an “E”.
