AMD unveils Radeon RX 6600 XT this weekend

According to information, AMD’s RDNA 2 architecture will make its way into the middle class within a couple of weeks, when the Navi 23 circuit connects to the Radeon RX 6000 series for desktops. RX 6600 XT should look forward first, to be accompanied by an XT-loose sibling sometime in September or October. Rumor has it that the supply will be good and that the card will be launched on August 11, which suggests that the unveiling will take place earlier than that.

Now the Twitter user “Greymon55” claims that AMD officially unveils the wrapped product on July 30, which coincides with the company holding a box during the Chinese digital fair Chinajoy 2021. It runs from July 30 to August 2 and AMD has itself indicated participation. The alleged timing of the Radeon RX 6600 XT release makes a product presentation at the event very likely.

Through diligent rumors and leaked information, however, the secrets around the card are relatively few, where everything points to the use of the full-scale Navi 23 circuit. This gives 32 computing units (CU) and thus 2,048 stream processors, which are accompanied by 8 GB of GDDR6 memory over a narrow 128-bit bus. The card will be placed between Nvidia’s Geforce RTX 3060 Ti and RTX 3060 when it comes to performance, which is also reflected in the alleged target price of 349 USD.

The aforementioned Nvidia cards have recommended prices of 399 and 329 USD, respectively, which are not complied with in stores – once the cards are on store shelves. Reports suggest that even AMD’s impending launch, despite better availability, may be plagued by the fact that real price tags are much larger than the recommended ones. Videocardz writes that the media may unpack and show the card on 6 August and that a sharp launch will take place on 11, but that it is currently unknown whether the independent test shares the latter date.
