The Gigabyte company is constantly expanding the AORUS brand activity beyond standard components, such as power supplies or motherboards. He has just presented new power supplies that are to be part of this family.
The new PSUs have a really good design that should match other AORUS components. In their center there are Japanese capacitors and they have protections: OTP (protection against overheating of the power supply), (protection against overload of the stabilizer), OVP (protection against over-voltage at the output), SCP (short-circuit protection), OPP (protection against overload) and UVP (Low Voltage Output Protection). The power supplies also have a single + 12V line and are cooled with a 135 mm fan. The manufacturer declares that at a load of 60%, the volume is 20 dBA, and 80% – 25 dBA.
At the moment, the prices are not known yet. The power supplies are to be certified with 80 Plus Gold, so it will definitely not be a low amount. The only question is whether the manufacturer will adapt to the competition or come up with a price from outer space.
