Aorus Xtreme Waterforce Z390 board with factory AIO block

Powerful configurations require solid cooling, which Gigabyte has provided with above-average overzealousness on its Aorus Xtreme Waterforce Z390 motherboard. This one immediately presents itself in the colors of an ideal proposition for lovers of liquid cooling.

The Aorus Xtreme Waterforce Z390 has a factory-fitted water block, which is simply huge. It covers not only the CPU but also the entire power section and even reaches the remote chipset in the lower right corner. However, this is not the end of surprises, because these can be found even with PCIe slots in the form of additional plastic covers and solid heat sinks on M.2 connectors. The Waterforce variant, however, maintains the most important features of the Aorus Xtreme, as can be seen in the case of the technical components. The 8th and 9th generation Intel Core processors supported by him derive their power from a 16-phase power section consisting of sixteen 60A MOSFETs and eight phase doublers. It comes down to the fact that the supplied current from two 8-pin PEG connectors is stabilized by a total of eight phase pairs.

The other elements are rather traditional. We are talking about four DDR4 slots capable of supporting 64 GB of RAM at 4400 MHz, six SATA III ports, three PCIe 3.0 x16 connectors (in x16 / x8 / x4 configuration), two PCIe x1 and three M.2, covered by stylized heatsink brand logo. There was also an additional 6-pin power connector for these connectors. On board you will also find a reset / on button, CMOS reset, two antenna positions using CNVi interface 802.11a / b / g / n / ac technology, a single HDMI port, two RJ-45, one optical SPDIF and 7.1-channel audio set jack. This is how the backplate looks in all its glory:
