Apple’s augmented reality headset has been around for a long time, and today some unofficial information has been released about it. Ming-Chi Kuo analyst revealed them in an interview with MacRumors.
According to this information, which should of course be taken with a grain of salt, the independent AR set from Apple will debut at the end of next year and will be very, very expensive (it was mentioned about the price of over PLN 10,000). In addition, it requires the iPhone to work, or at least if the user wants to use its full potential. However, the purchase will be future-proof, or at least this is Apple’s plan to support it for the long term.

The aforementioned potential will be guaranteed by the presence of two processors. One will be a SoC similar to the M1, even in terms of performance, and the other (less efficient) chip that is not known at the moment, which will be responsible for sensor management. There will be a lot of these, from 6-8 optical modules. A pair of 4K Micro OLED displays from Sony will be responsible for displaying the image, and Wi-Fi 6E connectivity.

Thanks to the use of MicroLED screens, pple is to provide this gadget with two operating modes – “translucent” for AR effects and completely opaque for playing in VR.
