According to the source which claims to get this information straight from the company, the basic Huawei P50 will debut later this month. What can we expect from it?
The basic Huawei P50 will soon be officially presented
We recently wrote that US companies cannot sell Huawei equipment that supports 5G networks, so do not count on this opportunity in the upcoming P50 series. The trade ban forced the manufacturer to stop the production of HiSilicon Kirin systems, and their stocks will certainly not allow them to supply all members of the family. Rumors indicate that although the Huawei P50 Pro will be launched in August with the Kirin 9000 chipset, its reserves will end in December.

That’s when Huawei will reach for the Qualcomm chip, namely the Snapdragon 888 (SM8450) integrated with the 4 G modem. However, the first smartphone to receive this chipset will be reportedly the basic Huawei P50. The latest leak reveals that it will be officially presented on July 29 in China.
We do not know anything about the Huawei P50 Pro + system yet. The systems used in the upcoming P50 smartphones may contribute to a drop in prices, and this may tempt potential customers to buy them. Nevertheless, we are waiting for more pre-release information that will reveal a little more about their specifications.
