After months of speculation, the Chinese launch of the Black Shark 5 series has finally been announced. According to reports, it will include the base and Pro models.
Although the exact date has not yet been disclosed, the announcement tells us that smartphones will enter the Chinese market in February. We also received confirmation that the series will be equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, as indicated by reports.
As for the more accurate specification, here we still have to rely on leaks. We know from them that the basic model is to offer the Samsung E4 AMOLED panel with FHD + resolution, 120 Hz snow removal frequency and 720 Hz touch sampling rate. The battery is to have a capacity of 4600 mAh and will support fast charging with a power of 120 Hz.

Black Shark 5 Pro, on the other hand, can be equipped with a larger 6.8-inch AMOLED Quad HD + display, which offers a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The battery is also supposed to support 120 W charging, but its capacity will be greater – it will be 5000 mAh. Both models are to run under Android 12.
