Canon sued for making donkeys out of people. It’s about AIO printers

It’s good to have “all-in-one”, but AIO (All-In-One) printers aren’t as perfect as they may seem. This infuriated one customer to such an extent that he filed a lawsuit against Canon. Reason? You probably all felt it the hard way.

Canon sued by its AIO printers that contradict logic

Some Canon AIO printers, which combine, in addition to the main printing function, the function of scanners and even aging faxes, defy common sense. It all comes down to the ink, which after reaching a low or completely exhausted level, automatically blocks the other functions (mainly scanning) until the deficiencies are filled.

This, of course, makes no sense. A scanner is a scanner – it has nothing to do with printing, when we are not going to immediately copy the document while scanning. For this reason, a certain David Leacraft decided to sue Canon USA because he felt misled by purchasing the Canon Pixma All-in-OnePIXMA TR4720 All-in-One.

Canon does not represent or warn consumers that ink is an essential component for scanning or faxing documents.

[…] Canon knew or should have known that its statements and advertisements regarding All-in-One Printers were false and misleading

– we read in the lawsuit.

The requirement to replace the ink is directly related to the profits of the company that artificially drives their sales. At least this is what the lawsuit claims, accusing Canon of non-consumer activities, aimed mainly at earning more and more.
