Casa has released a mobile application for managing the Lightning Network site

The new Casa mobile app simplifies the management of the Lightning node and allows you to earn BTC as part of your own rewards program.

The Sats application works like a regular wallet, but has some unique features. Casa CEO Jeremy Welch (Jeremy Welch) said that in addition to being able to manage the Lightning Network node from a mobile application, the startup will soon deploy a rewards program to earn a small amount of BTC through the application.

The goal is to help novice cryptocurrency users to earn their first bitcoin, while managing their own Lightning node using a single mobile application.

“These features are focused on expanding the use of Bitcoin nodes and the Lightning Network,” said Welch. “You can earn BTC if you don’t have a Casa node, but you can earn Bitcoins faster if you have a node.”

Welch said the startup raised more than $ 3.5 million last year from investors such as Castle Island Ventures, Boost VC and Compound. In addition, since September 2018, Casa allows
place a Lightning physical node to any user: Casa Node.

According to Welch, a staff of about 25 people serves customers in 60 countries, working with “thousands of active sites.” These customers will receive the first access to the new application this week, and sharing through the application store will appear at the end of this month.

“This is a lightweight application, but it allows you to go through many stages – from earning the first satoshi to working with a full node from the phone,” said Welch. “It is secure, confidential and connects via Tor.”

Casa already has a custodial application with Keymaster multi-signatures.
for those who are tech savvy and want to protect significant amounts of BTC. At the same time, the Sats mobile application is aimed at new users of cryptocurrencies.

“Our first award in the app will be 20,000 Satoshi for connecting your Casa Node to Tor and to the Sats App,” said Welch.

The goal of the team is to use cryptocurrency rewards and other useful functions for users to provide customers with simple ways to store their BTC instead of keeping them on stock exchanges.
