Comparison of DLSS vs TAA results in 4K from Nvidia

New solutions require not only a good idea, but also verification. Nvidia’s novelties from the Turing architecture have not really passed the initial one, and the chances of this long-term one are prevented by the mere lack of tools. However, this does not prevent the company from comparing DLSS vs TAA results in 4K.

These are rendering technologies, where TAA is already a standard that we are already used to, and DLSS is something completely new. In short, Nvidia DLSS draws a handful from the current market trend, namely artificial intelligence hidden in RT cores and Tensor in the Turing GPU, which the manufacturer “taught” machine learning in high definition. Hence the announced advantage that GeForce RTX cards will have in 4K resolution. Nvidia also conducted a test in it:

As a result, Titan Xp in the Infiltrator test loses to the RTX 2070 by a whole 7 frames per second and is even destroyed by the RTX 2080 Ti by as much as 24 FPS. At the same time, the price is twice as low … for the newest and most powerful RTX. There is one thing I don’t like about all of this – why wasn’t it decided to test RTX cards with TAA rendering? Such a comparison would be much more accurate in terms of the effectiveness of DLSS technology. However, should we believe such charts these days?
