Since the launch of the Nvidia Geforce GTX 1080 Ti, the partner manufacturers have pumped out their own models on the assembly line, which extend to everything from reference models to more extreme cards with factory overclocking. EVGA falls into the latter category when they show the Geforce GTX 1080 Ti Kingpin Edition at Computex 2017.
The model is part of the company’s latest ICX concept, which involves an army of sensors on the circuit board. In terms of the latter, it is a new heat sink with double layers of heat conduction pipes for additional cooling capacity. In addition, both the pipes and the heat sink are copper-plated, which should help dissipate heat more efficiently.
EVGA also guarantees a turbo frequency of 2,025 MHz directly out of the box for each card and should the card not reach the said frequency, the company will replace it with a new one at no extra cost. In terms of power supply, the company has worked hard with 10 + 3 power phases, through double 8-pin connectors placed in the back edge of the card.
EVGA does not want to reveal any price for the Geforce GTX 1080 TI Kingpin Edition, but expects to get the card in stores sometime in July.
