Ex-deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations spoke about the possibilities of a powerful release from the gas pipeline

MOSCOW, 29 Sep — PRIME. The powerful release of gas during explosions at Nord Stream could scatter pipe fragments over a long distance, so underwater robotic arms are needed to collect them, Mikhail Faleev, former deputy head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, winner of the government award in science and technology, told RIA Novosti.

NATO robots are able to arrange an emergency on gas pipelines, said the former deputy head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations

“Be sure to take into account the fact that the force, so to speak,” vulcanization “- the release of gas – it is large enough and could push the exploded system to a decent distance,” the source said.

According to Faleev, after the discovery of scattered fragments of pipes and “any other products that fell into this hearth,” robots with manipulators should be used to collect all the necessary items.

On Monday, incidents occurred simultaneously on two Russian export gas pipelines to Europe. According to information from the Danish and Swedish authorities, two gas leaks were discovered at Nord Stream and one at Nord Stream 2 near Bornholm Island. Germany, Denmark and Sweden do not rule out targeted sabotage.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of Russia initiated the initiation of a case on an act of international terrorism after the damage to the Nord Stream gas pipelines. The country’s first deputy representative to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky, said that an urgent meeting of the UN Security Council in connection with sabotage against the Nord Stream gas pipeline was scheduled for 22.00 Moscow time on Friday.
