German tkMS can deliver three Miecznik frigates to Poland in just four years

There is a reason why the German tkMS (thyssenkrupp Marine Systems) has been considered a world leader in the export of submarines and surface ships for many years. This shipbuilding holding clearly wants to stand out from the crowd, win the contract and finally provide Poland with three Miecznik frigates.

To prove this, tkMS recently invited Polish journalists to shows and presentations to convince “our” that it would pay off for Poland to choose this particular holding for the implementation of the Miecznik program. This one provides for the purchase of a total of three modern frigates, and it just so happens that the MEKO A-300 ships, which were presented on September 29, 2021, can enter the game. These supposedly not only meet the requirements specified in the program, but even significantly exceed them in many areas.

Most importantly, the tkMS can provide Poland with access to three new frigates in three years. To prove this, the holding presented an example of a contract for the supply of three MEKO A-200 frigates currently being carried out at the SBN shipyard in Bremerhaven. Everything indicates that its implementation will take only four years, which clearly suggests that the frigates for Poland will be treated with the same care under the Miecznik program. However, it is difficult to obtain any reliable information at present, because we still do not know which contractor the Polish Ministry of Defense will choose.
