Bulgarian special units have received the first batch of new combat vehicles. The Guardian Extreme military vehicles are the “Guardian” to the power, because they include SAMARAM’s 4 × 4 Guardian Extreme armored vehicles, as well as the Guardian RWS remotely controlled weapon module.
The delivery of the enriched Guardian Extreme included four vehicles that ended up in the hands of the Bulgarian Ministry of Defense. It is predicted that in the coming months this number will increase by another eight, which is not surprising, because this work of the Spanish arms industry requires “only” the connection of the existing system of remotely controlled weapons with also “existing” combat vehicles. This one can use many types of machine guns (5.56 mm, 7.62 mm or 12.7 mm caliber), smoke grenade launchers or 40 mm automatic grenade launchers.

Going into detail, the Guardian Extreme is a 4×4 or 4×4 armored vehicle based on a modified Ford F-550 chassis. It measures 5.9 × 2.5 × 2.4 meters, provides STANAG 4569 protection and accelerates to 120 km / h thanks to the turbocharged 6.7 liter Powerstroke diesel engine. It is susceptible to modernization and thus changing its basic role, but the weapon system clearly indicates its combat use.
