Removing the bicycle wheel in seconds, that is the unique Fasten system

Removing the front wheel of a bicycle is a breeze, even without a quick-release lock. In turn, even this one does not help to quickly deal with the rear one, where we must additionally take care of the proper removal of the chain, not damaging the derailleur and the brake disc. The Fasten system, however, changes that and can even hit the front wheel.

Fasten by Lagar Concept has potential, but requires a favorable view from the entire industry

The latest bicycle gadget developed by the French startup Lagar Concept is to significantly facilitate the process of removing the rear wheel. Fasten ensures this by attaching both the cassette and the brake disc to the frame, not the wheel. This ensures that the wheels of the bearings used for rolling are housed in the housings in each of the assemblies and not directly in the wheel hub.

Thanks to this solution, the Fasten system, after installation, is of interest to us only in terms of the through axis, which runs through one side and locks everything together. All of this is based on a straight, narrow hub that fits between the brackets on the inner ends of the cassette and brake disc assemblies.

This makes removing the wheel as simple as loosening the thru axle and pulling it out. Its assembly is just as simple and interestingly enough, the simultaneous use of Fasten on the front and back allows you to replace the rear wheel with the front wheel in a few seconds.

The problem is that at the moment we do not know the details of the price, weight, and the very potential of system integration in bikes. It just so happens that it has to be taken into account in the original design and assembled directly at the factory.
