OPPO Find X5 Pro announced last month has brought with it many innovations and new features. One of them is particularly interesting because it is about the battery life of 1600 charging cycles. This is twice the industry standard. How did OPPO achieve this?

Although the premiere of Find X5 Pro is behind us, the manufacturer continues to praise this phone, revealing interesting facts about its structure and functions. This time we were introduced to the issue of battery life. We learned that what OPPO called the Battery Health Engine was used here, which includes two key technologies – intelligent battery health algorithm and technology treatment the battery.

The algorithm is able to track in real time the electric potential at the negative electrodes inside the battery and regulate the charging current in a range that minimizes the occurrence of “dead” lithium while maintaining the charging speed. This is crucial as it is the “dead” lithium that is responsible for the loss of battery capacity. The second technology used is responsible for repairing the power cell itself, protecting the performance and extending the life of the battery.

It is thanks to this, as shown by the results of OPPO laboratory tests, that even after 1600 charging cycles, the battery is able to maintain 80% of its original capacity. With daily charging, this translates into some four years of using OPPO Find X5 Pro without too much damage to the cell’s capacity.
