SIMFEROPOL, 16 Oct – PRIME. In the Kherson region, the protection of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station has been strengthened, Deputy Head of the Regional Administration Kirill Stremousov told RIA Novosti. According to him, the measure will avoid provocations from Ukraine.
The expert listed the main tasks to be solved at the Zaporozhye NPP
“Protection has been strengthened. There is a strong group of troops standing there, it will not be easy to break through there,” he said.
Earlier, Stremousov said that Ukrainian troops could attempt to break through the dam of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station in order to flood the territories and force the Dnieper.
Kakhovskaya HPP is the sixth (lower and last) stage of the cascade of Dnieper hydroelectric power plants. Located 5 km from the city of Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region.
