SIMFEROPOL, 1 Sep — PRIME. The landing of Ukrainian saboteurs who attempted to seize the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant was destroyed a few kilometers from it, the head of the administration of the Zaporizhzhya region Yevhen Balitsky said on the air of Channel One.
The fifth power unit of the Zaporozhye NPP was stopped due to shelling
He noted that the sabotage groups were identified and suppressed by artillery. Up to 40 paratroopers were killed, according to authorities.
“I emphasize once again that the landing force has been destroyed,” Balitsky said.
He added that boats of saboteurs were seized as material evidence.
