Production in China is cheap, but everyone knows how this has affected the market in recent years. Therefore, the US government persuades companies to build their factories and facilities in the United States, which was taken to heart by producers such as Core, Xeon processors, and soon even ASICs for Bitcoin mining and graphics cards. Today we learned that Intel will spend a fortune on a new facility in Ohio.
Intel decided to build its new facility in Ohio because of the huge space the state offered it. We now know that it will initially spend the entire $ 20 billion facility on a 1,000-acre plot of land in New Albany, just outside Columbus, Ohio. According to the announcement, this will include two semiconductor manufacturing plants, which will employ a total of 3,000 people and will become “the largest chip manufacturing site in the world”.

Construction is slated to begin later this year, and Intel expects factories to be ready by 2025. However, this will only be the beginning (most likely), because Intel has the ability to expand the occupied area to 2,000 acres and build as many as eight factories in the future. Then, investments will reach up to USD 100 billion, i.e. almost PLN 400 billion.
