We learned the plans for how Intel will revolutionize the semiconductor market

In a loud announcement, Intel boasts that its engineers have managed to improve the internal connection density of their circuits 10 times. All thanks to the Foveros Direct technology, which allows to obtain sub-10-micron spacing between these connections. Additionally, the company is slowly entering the post-FinFET era, aiming to stack multiple transistors and thus achieve a 30/50% improvement in logic scaling by fitting more transistors on each square millimeter of silicon.

Intel is also looking for new materials, only a few atoms thick, that can be used to produce transistors that overcome the limitations of silicon and make it possible to obtain millions of transistors on the surface of the matrix. It also wants to introduce DRAM into a new era by introducing it directly into the processor and using innovative ferroelectric materials for this. It’s all to meet the increasing complexity of computing applications, from games to pre-quantum artificial intelligence, right at your fingertips.
