Intel’s Ryzen 5000 Price Drops Huge. We are still waiting in Europe

As is the case in the free market, companies have to maintain competition in some way, and this makes us consumers (usually) do better. This is perfectly demonstrated by the effects of the 12th generation Intel Core launch, which meant that AMD, having nothing interesting to show at the moment, had to resort to our wallets. It is also for this reason that there have been huge drops in the price of the Ryzen 5000.

We are waiting for a move from AMD, but one of the giants has already lowered the price of two important Ryzen 5000 CPUs

Although AMD did not make price reductions, in the US one of the largest stores (MicroCenter) took the Ryzen sale matters into its own hands and significantly lowered the prices of the Ryzen 5000 series to make it much more competitive with Intel’s offer. Going into detail, MicroCenter treated the individual models as follows:

• Ryzen 5 5600X – $ 280 (down $ 20)
• Ryzen 7 5800X – $ 300 (down $ 150)
• Ryzen 9 5900X – $ 499 (down $ 50)

Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, other stores and companies have not responded in a similar way. This applies to both Europe and the rest of the world, but still AMD’s offer should appeal more to those who do not have a bottomless wallet.

The relatively cheap AM4 motherboards are still a great advantage of choosing AMD hardware, while in the case of Intel, until January 2022, we will only be able to reach for the most advanced and thus the most expensive boards with the Z690 chipset. AMD still has a much more interesting offer in the mid-range segment, which, however, will change in January.
