Krab cannon-howitzer parts. The official search for a supplier is ongoing

Recent announcements by the Polish Ministry of National Defense clearly suggest that our military is trying to prepare for the eventual confrontation with Russia. This time, the latest announcement concerns parts for the Krab cannon howitzers, more precisely, “the supply of technical materials for the Regina division fire module with 155 mm self-propelled Krab howitzers”.

Under the latest contract of the 2nd Regional Logistics Base in Warsaw, Polish logisticians want to ensure an accelerated delivery of these parts, of which the deadline for submitting applications by potential contractors will be April 11, 2022. The choice of a contractor from at least three required to make a decision will be dictated primarily by the price (80%), but also the warranty period (20%). The order is to be processed no later than November 30, which also applies to the optional order.

Justification for the choice of the accelerated procedure: The outbreak of the armed conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the real threat to the security of the Polish state resulting from the above, application of Art. 411 section 7 and 16 of the Act and the shortening of the deadlines for submitting applications for admission to the procedure and offers will enable the repair of key weapons equipment in a faster time.

This equipment is necessary to secure the activities of subunits assigned to perform tasks on the border of the Republic of Poland with the Republic of Belarus and will enable the maintenance of the remaining weapons in the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland in readiness to undertake actions related to ensuring national security. The basic element that must be met by the above condition is its independent and objective character.
