Maximus XII Formula
It will again be the right range for liquid cooling lovers and once again ASUS and EK have worked to bring a water block to life for VRMs. Will include network 10 Gbe.
Maximus XII Extreme
The high range for those users who want maximum performance on their platforms. It will arrive in the already wise form factor E-ATX with DIMM.2 and also with 10 Gbe network.
Maximus XII Hero (Wi-Fi)
Once again the Hero range will be the main battle car for ASUS for gaming CPUs, but unlike its brothers Formula, Extreme and Apex, its phase system will not be a 16 + 0, but a 14 + 2.
It will be the only model that has HDMI 1.4b and the Intel network card I219-V instead of the Intel I225 or Marvel AQtion 10 Gb. It will also have fewer USB ports.
Maximus XII APEX
Focused on breaking records like past versions. This is how the new APEX is presented, which will be the only certified model for memories equal to or greater than 5000 MHz.
It will also be the only model with two RAM modules, evidencing its approach to overclocking.
ASUS TUF Gaming
TUF Z490-PLUS
It will be the entry range to this chipset by ASUS and therefore it will be the cheapest. Therefore it will not have an I / O cover but it will have two good heatsinks for VRMs. However, the inclusion of 4 PCIe X1.
Will have an HDMI and a DisplayPort as well as heads for RGB, something new as such in the series. Apparently it will share aesthetics with the H470 model.
PRIME Z490-A
A much more complete version than the previous P. Although there are no specifications, it looks perfectly like the heatsinks have grown in size, it will have I / O cover, a larger heatsink for the chipset and two heatsinks for the M.2 SSD.
It will therefore be a higher-end model and this will ultimately affect the price, which should not reach that of the TUF range.
Finally, and although it has not been disclosed as such, a plate based on the Maximus XII Extreme called Glacial, which will presumably be a white color version to match the rest of the products that ASUS is launching on the market.
