In an effort to engage as many senses as possible while entertaining and watching TV, Japanese professor Homei MIyashita of Meiji University designed the TTTV. It is an abbreviation of Taste The TV, a technology that allows you to lick a TV screen and feel a given taste. The question remains – how?
A TV with a taste sensation – that’s TTTV
TTTV uses a system of ten flavor containers that spray in tandem to create the flavor of a specific food. Then a sample of this artificially produced flavor is passed on a hygienic foil over the flat screen of the TV set. So do not imagine that TTTV allows you to convey the taste only through the screen – it is a kind of gadget, an addition to the TV set.

The foundations for TTTV were developed by a whole team of students, led by the aforementioned processor, the prototype of which would reportedly cost around $ 875 when turned into mass production. According to a Reuters report, this device really works, as one of the students confirmed to reporters.

First, she informed the system that she wanted to try the sweet chocolate, and the flavor nozzles responded by sprinkling a flavor sample onto a plastic sheet and displaying the product on the screen. The use of such TTTV does not seem to be strictly entertaining (would you like to get off the couch during a screening to lick a piece of foil?), But it can be used on the professional market, with courses for chefs at the forefront.
