Manturov will present proposals for software projects for industry

MOSCOW, Sep 23 — PRIME. The Russian government instructed the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov to submit proposals for the consolidation of Russian software development projects for a number of industry committees based on the Industrial Competence Center (ICC), according to the list of instructions on the website of the Cabinet of Ministers.

“Together with the chairmen of the ICC, taking into account the discussion that took place, submit to the Russian Ministry of Digital Development updated proposals on projects, taking into account the compliance of projects with the requirements of all key representatives of the industry segment and the possibility of intersectoral cooperation … To the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation – Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation D.V. Manturov” , says the Cabinet.

As follows from the list of instructions, the proposals concern the sectoral committees “Engineering”, “Metallurgical Industry”, “Electronics and Microelectronics”, “Chemical Industry”, “Pharmaceutical Industry” and “Trade”. They should contain restrictions on projects duplicating functionality, exclusion of projects that require development from scratch in the presence of Russian analogues, as well as separation of design work automation (CAD) into separate projects.

The deadline for the execution of the order is September 23, 2022. It is given following the results of the strategic session on import substitution of software in the sectors of the Russian economy, which was held on September 13.

Taking into account the discussions held at it, the heads of industry committees, together with the chairmen of the ICC, must submit to the Russian Ministry of Digital Development updated proposals on software projects under development by September 23. In particular, such an instruction was given to Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin for the Construction and Housing and Public Utilities sectoral committee and Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova for the Healthcare sectoral committee.

Also, instructions were given to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko on the Education and Communications and Media sectoral committees, as well as to First Deputy Prime Minister Andrei Belousov on the Transport sectoral committee.
