Microsoft’s foldable phone on Geekbench. What can Surface Duo 2 do?

To compete with, inter alia, Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold3 5G has just had a performance leak, Microsoft’s new foldable phone. Thanks to this, we know what Surface Duo 2 will most likely offer, because remember that this is only unofficial, pre-release information.

Surface Duo 2 showed its performance in Geekbench

Microsoft Surface Duo 2 appeared in the Geekbench database on August 27, passing the test with a score of 1091 for single-threaded operations and 3517 for multi-threaded operations. This is interesting because the Fold3, equipped with the same chipset, can boast a result of 979 and 3441 points in this test. Of course, I am talking about the high-end Snapdragon 888 system, which may not be the flagship anymore, by providing a higher-clocked Plus version, but it still offers a lot.

This leak concerns the Surface Duo 2 version with 8 GB of RAM in conjunction with Android 11, and nothing else really tells us. However, we learn more about this Microsoft compilation from previous rumors and leaks, among which one stands out. Therefore, below you can see photos of its prototype in the form of a short recording:

Windows Central also mentions that Microsoft is going to improve the battery, cameras and displays over the previous model (Surface Duo) and the software side, which at the moment comes down to the “lift to wake” function. According to rumors, the displays will be smoother, and the cameras themselves will include a 12 Mpx main camera, a telephoto lens and an ultra-wide-angle unit.
