Phones with wireless charging function have been on the market for a long time. However, not every manufacturer has them on offer. An example would be Motorola. However, the company seems to want to make up for it.
A list of new Moto Qi chargers has just appeared on the Wireless Power Consortium website. One of them, 10 W, has a soft non-slip surface, an anti-slip stand and a charging indicator. Motorola offers special cases for charging Qi and the charger can work with it. But a few things make it unlikely. Such a case has been unavailable in stores for over two years, so a charger would not make sense. Also, new reports about the Moto G7 say that it is made of glass, which can allow such charging.
The Motorola Moto G7 will debut in the first quarter of 2019 and then we will see if our suspicions are right. It is also possible that earlier leaks will confirm these reports.
