WLC 2.0 officially. Here is the specification of the new wireless charging standard

The NFC Forum announced the endorsement and adoption of WLC 2.0. This means that the specification of the new wireless charging standard has been revealed.

Thanks to WLC 2.0, the charging of devices with low power consumption (TWS headphones, smartwatches) will be significantly improved, thanks to the operation of the charger with a power of up to one watt. In addition, it allows wireless charging using a single antenna on an NFC-enabled device and supports smaller antenna sizes.

All thanks to the use of the fundamental frequency at the level of 13.56 MHz and the NFC module to control the power transfer. The WLC 2.0 uses NFC near-field magnetic induction to transmit power.
