The US National Basketball Association (NBA) and its subsidiary National Basketball Players Association (NBPA) have begun working with the creators of CryptoKitties to release a new game.
According to the official announcement on the NBPA website, a game called NBA Top Shot is scheduled to launch in early 2020. The game will receive collectible digital items, and fans will be able to save live video broadcasts of NBA games, which can then be stored or sold as collectible items.
The CEO of Dapper Labs, the creator of CryptoKitties, Roham Gharegozlou, shared his views on the planned game:
