Pixel 6 smartphones are charging too slowly. Google explains the reason

Unfortunately, the problems with the Pixel 6 smartphones are apparently not over. Users started reporting too slow loading. What does the company say?

Overrated Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro?

From the very beginning, owners of new Pixels have reported numerous problems, including the display and the fingerprint reader. This time, however, it was about the charging speed, which is simply too slow in the world. The company, when presenting its new smartphones to us, did not provide the exact charging speed. There was also no charger included, and the one sold by Google has a power of 30W. So the conclusion was clear – this is what new smartphones support. Users have started to report that smartphones are charging way too slowly then.

It turns out, however, that this is not the case at all. According to the official blog post, Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro support 21 and 23 W respectively. Google also specifies that “the charging speed at any time depends on factors such as cell and system design, temperature, system utilization, and state of charge“. Using a 30W charger, both Pixels will be charged to 50% in about 30 minutes (at low output level), and to 80% in an hour. Average speeds are even slower with a full charging session.

And it seems that there is nothing to pick on. After all, Google has nowhere reported the previously supported charging power. Nevertheless, it was worth clarifying in advance, and not waiting for dissatisfaction and then explaining in blog entries.
