Ryzen 4000 Zen 3, clues appear on the clocks of the 8 and 16 core models

The CPUs Ryzen 4000 architecture-based Zen 3, free of
integrated graphics and also notes with the code name Vermeer, they will be
available during the second half of the year (September / October?), consequently the
corridor rumors begin to get more pressing. After the rumors about
alleged
excellent IPC performance
of the new architecture, in these hours we speak of
possible frequencies.

Igor Wallossek of
Igor's Lab in fact came to know
of information on engineering sample some models of the new Ryzen family.
Since these are references to samples, they are also referred to as revision A0
(one of the first), the frequencies may not be definitive at all, but
however they give an idea of the aspirations of the American company.

The indiscretions refer to five OPN codes (Ordering Part
Number), three CPUs with 8 cores and 16 threads (OPN 1: 100-000000063-07_46 / 40_N;
OPN 2: 100-000000063-08_46 / 40_Y; OPN 3: 100-000000063-23_44 / 38_N
) and two
solutions with 16 cores and 32 threads (OPN 1: 100-000000059-14_46 / 37_Y; OPN 2:
100-000000059-15_46 / 37_N
).

Let's go in order. As for the models a 8 cores, today the Ryzen range
3000 has two models called Ryzen 7 3700X (3.6 / 4.4 GHz) and Ryzen 7 3800X (3.9 / 4.5 GHz).
The 8-core Ryzen 4000 could be three, but certainly not. What can be done
say that two samples work on one base frequency of 4 GHz e
a have 4.6 GHz boost clock
, while a sample indicated as 3.8 / 4.4 GHz.

As for the two OPN codes of the solutions
with 16 cores and 32 threads, we observe the indication of a base clock of 3.7 GHz and a
4.6 GHz boost clock. The current Ryzen 9 3950X works at 3.5 / 4.7 GHz, therefore
we would be faced with a 200 MHz increase of the base clock and 100 MHz of
boost
.

This information, although to be taken with pliers for
as mentioned above, they approach
previous rumors that
they indicated an increase in frequencies of about 100-200 MHz. We don't know at
moment if the clock increase will be accompanied by unchanged TDP or if
there will also be variations of that parameter, but we must not forget that
CPUs will be produced with an evolution of the 7-nanometer production process
used for the Ryzen 3000, therefore it is reasonable to expect greater efficiency.

Finally, remember that the future CPU Ryzen 4000 Zen 3

will require motherboards with B550 and X570 chipsets
(and any evolutions
of the 600 series).
