The European Commission is striving to unify the charging standard in electronic devices. The aim of this action is to reduce the amount of electro-waste and make life easier for consumers. The USB-C connector is the most universal and the need to equip the equipment with it will appear in 2024, when new regulations come into force. According to iDropNews, several anonymous reports that the Cupertino giant will introduce a USB-C connector in iPhones 14. There are supposedly three reasons for this, the first being the faster transfer speeds available from USB-C. The second reason is, of course, the new regulations, and the third reason is taking care of the environment. However, rumors also say that not all of the iPhone 14 series will abandon Lightning. USB-C is to hit the two most expensive models, while the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will remain with the classic connector.
