Swiss supermarket chain uses blockchain to track supply chains

Migros, Switzerland’s largest supermarket and retail chain, has announced that it will use the TE-Food blockchain platform to track food supply chains.

Interestingly, usually retailers use blockchain so that customers have more information about the product, and Migos plans to use blockchain to optimize business processes and increase revenue. However, customers will also receive more complete product information.

In addition, supermarkets will simplify the process of returning goods in case of inadequate quality. The blockchain system will allow you to track when and where the buyer purchased the goods and determine who is responsible for the inadequate quality of the product.

Separately, it is noted that, thanks to the new blockchain system, Migros plans to reduce the volume of products being debited and to make the distribution of goods more efficient.

Recently, it was reported that several large technology companies, including IBM and Lenovo, launched a blockchain supply chain tracking system.
